[October 30, 2025] — This month, a senior Libra Group delegation spent a week in the Middle East, including visits to 3 countries, 4 cities, and 35+ meaningful business, cultural, and social meetings. The trip provided an opportunity to discuss promising future collaborations that span our diverse sectors.

The delegation included Executive Chairman George Logothetis, Chief Relationship Officer Maria Paula Correa, EVP, Financial Transactions Christopher Watson, Chief of Staff Juliana Sáenz, and Project Coordinator Sofia Navarro. Praveen Vetrivel, CEO of Space Leasing International (SLI), an aerospace subsidiary, also took part in the discussions. In addition, Eva Soulia, Assistant Director of Communications at our independent sister foundation, Libra Philanthropies, joined the delegation to explore potential partnerships in the region.

Starting in Doha, Qatar, the team had meaningful conversations, such as with the Qatar Investment Authority, AbuIssa Holding, and with dignitaries such as Dr. Majed Al-Ansari, Advisor to the Prime Minister & Official Spokesperson for Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a representative from the Emir’s private office. Social visits included time spent at the Hamad Medical Corporation and Women’s Wellness Center, a trip to the Qatar Foundation and dinner with World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), a global education think tank, as well as a visit to the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.

From there, the team flew to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where highlights included meetings with King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A Care), the Embassy of India in Riyadh, NEOM, the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), and Neo Space Group.

The team then traveled to Abu Dhabi, UAE, where they were joined by Libra Group Board Member Constantine Logothetis, and highlights included meetings with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, the Office of Development Affairs, Presidential Court in Abu Dhabi, the Department of Finance, Ma’an Social Investment Fund, ADNOC, Abu Dhabi Development Holding Company, Masdar, International Holding Company, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Abu Dhabi Global Market, Abu Dhabi Aviation, and Abu Dhabi Family Business Council. The team also visited Ma’an New Hub, a state-of-the-art social innovation center.

The trip ended in Dubai, where the delegation held two business meetings and then met with a distinguished group of people including HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mana Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, who then hosted the delegation for dinner. The group concluded with a private meeting with former Minister of Defense and two-time former Ambassador of Colombia to the United States, Amb. Juan Carlos Pinzón.

We’re inspired by the ingenuity across this region, including its young talent, dynamic economies, and dedicated social initiatives. We look forward to exploring meaningful opportunities for long-term partnerships with sustainable growth in the Middle East.
