[May 29, 2026] — lomarlabs, the venture catalyst created by Lomar Shipping, one of Libra Group’s maritime subsidiaries, was awarded “Maritime Innovation Pioneer 2026 – Europe” by CFI.co – Capital Finance International as part of its annual international awards program.

The award recognizes lomarlabs’ novel approach to advancing maritime decarbonization and operational innovation through structured collaboration, real-world deployment, and commercially grounded pilot programs.

The CFI.co Judging Panel highlighted lomarlabs’ “disciplined, problem-led innovation” and its ability to convert “maritime uncertainty into a managed portfolio of executable options, rather than a single technology bet.” The judges also noted the strength of lomarlabs’ operational model, which leverages the platform and expertise of Lomar Shipping to support the testing and deployment of emerging technologies under real commercial conditions.

Since its launch in 2023, lomarlabs has supported 10+ ventures working across maritime decarbonization, operational intelligence, automation, and next-generation shipping technologies.
