[September 24, 2025] — Sparta Properties, one of Libra Group’s real estate subsidiaries that owns and manages a portfolio of properties across multiple sectors, recently completed the sale of an office building in Washington, D.C’s Georgetown District.

This property, set in a historic townhouse, features 4,278 square feet of commercial space and dates back to 1819. The building underwent extensive and thoughtful restorations to preserve the original classical layout and opened as a commercial office space in 2018. Situated on a quaint street near the starting point of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, the property embodies the rich history of Georgetown, known for its colorful row houses.

Acquired by Sparta Properties in 2016, the building has been an important part of its portfolio and most recently housed D.C.-based employees from Libra Group, as well as one of Libra Group’s aerospace subsidiaries, Space Leasing International (SLI). This sale is part of Sparta Properties’ ongoing strategic portfolio optimization, which includes properties across three continents and over $600 million in total completed transactions.

The D.C. headquarters of Libra Group have been relocated to the Bowen Building to accommodate its growing employee base. The Bowen Building is an architecturally significant landmark within walking distance of the White House that also houses J.P. Morgan’s D.C. and regional headquarters.
