Jen Clarke

Executive Director

As the executive director of Libra Philanthropies, Jen Clarke brings more than two decades of experience working in the public, private, academic and nonprofit sectors in Canada and the US. She has dedicated her life’s work to addressing and advocating for a wide range of global justice initiatives through the lens of cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.

Jen’s experience includes project management in Ghana and Zimbabwe, leadership roles in higher education, and serving on the boards of several intercultural exchange nonprofit organizations. She joined Libra Philanthropies after serving for more than six years as executive director of One To World, a global nonprofit organization that fosters intercultural understanding by connecting local communities, international students and Fulbright scholars.

Jen previously served in development roles with the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, Institute of Play and Clarkson University. A native of Nova Scotia, she also served in programming and strategic planning for the Canadian International Development Agency. Jen holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a double major in political science, and a Master of Arts in Geography, with a concentration in geopolitics, both from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
