Libra Internship Programme

Global opportunities for approaching 150 interns per annum

2011 saw the creation of our global Internship Programme. It was established in partnership with The American College of Greece in Athens and the US-based Greek America Foundation but today it is open to undergraduate students who are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university anywhere in the world. The Programme provides internships of up to six months' duration for approaching 150 students each year at the Libra Group and its subsidiaries around the world.

Experience the world through the eyes of an international business."

Our objective is to provide opportunities for students to learn about our businesses, strategy and management philosophy while they further develop the skills that will help define their future. Our interns work alongside industry professionals and each is assigned a dedicated mentor and 'buddy'.

The programme has now expanded to embrace numerous partner organizations globally including: the M.Sc. in Maritime Studies course at The University of Piraeus in Athens; the Instituto Griego Atenagoras I in South America; Miami Dade College; the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; the Haitian Education & Leadership Programme; and Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America. For many years our shipping company, Lomar, has hosted naval cadets as part of their officer training path and takes in as many as 30 cadets each year from Germany and the UK.

Along with our programme partners, we aim to provide hope and opportunity for those who most need it. Click here to watch the Internship Programme video
