Libra’s shipping subsidiary with 38-strong fleet
Lomar is Libra's global ship owning and management group. The company has a mixed fleet of 38 bulk carriers, reefer and container ships, offshore vessels, LPG, products and chemical tankers.
For over 30 years, our shipping division has successfully invested and re-invested according to market cycles. The company sold a total of 67 vessels between 2004 and 2006. In December 2009 the company re-entered the shipping market at scale with the $325 million acquisition of the Allocean group and its fleet of 26 modern vessels. An additional 10 vessels have been purchased during 2010.Our London-based management organisation, Lomar Shipping, provides technical and commercial maritime services. We also have offices in Bremen and Singapore.
